    What is the charging power ChargeLink can deliver?

    ChargeLink is designed to provide high-power “charging opportunities” during short stops, delivering up to 6,500 kW (6.5 MW). This enables electric ferries to recharge their batteries efficiently while passengers embark and disembark. For extended capacity or customized solutions, please contact the ShoreLink team.

    Is the system AC or DC?

    We offer both. The system is modular and adjustable to different voltage levels and can be configured for AC or DC charging, depending on the vessel’s onboard battery management system and grid infrastructure.

    Does the solution require any personnel on shore?

    ChargeLink is a fully automated plug-in solution. Using advanced sensors, it aligns precisely with the vessel’s socket and connects automatically. This eliminates the need for shoreside personnel to handle cables, enhancing safety and reducing operational costs.

    Can it be installed on existing ramps?

    The modular design allows for installation directly on the quay or integrated on the ferry ramp structure itself. It also features automatic compensation for vessel movement, ensuring the connection stays secure even if the ferry moves slightly due to waves or wind.

    ChargeLink solutions have been successfully delivered and implemented in multiple ports worldwide. Our reference projects include locations in:
